The trim secures the edges of vinyl in position and hides any nail heads.
Pull down on the zip tool as you twist it slightly. Vinyl siding is installed from bottom to top so start at the top and work your way down when removing it. Insert the tip of the zip tool into the notch. Step 1 slide the vinyl siding removal tool just under the bottom lip of the uppermost piece of vinyl siding and pry gently upwards.
