How To Install Rain Gutter Chains

How to install rain gutter chains. To connect the chain to the rain gutter locate the rain gutter s drain hole. Once you know the length remove the existing downspout. Release the chain and let it hang from the gutter. Fill the hole with the stone.

Dig a hole slightly wider than the width of your pot and at least 6 deep directly underneath the downspout outlet. Once the hole is located position the gutter chain from the bottom of the hole and push the gutter attachment hangar. Flip the pot upside down and drill a few drainage holes with a masonry drill. From there attach your rain chain.

When installing your rain chain use a tape measure to determine the distance from the existing rain gutter to the ground. A bigger hole needs to be created if the drain hole is too small. Decide where the rain chain will be hung and install a downspout outlet in the gutter in the desired location. Attach the rain chain to the bottom of the expandable attachment and connect the other end to the ground with the included v shaped stake.
