First mark all the purlin locations on the deck joists. Be sure the larger edge is laid so that the small edge of the next panel will overlap it. Use your neoprene washer head screws to secure the metal to the sheathing. Install the purlin along the house and the outer purlin.
If the span under your deck is 12 ft for example the purlin at the outer end of the deck should be 3 in. Then stretch a string between them. Secure the metal panel to the deck by drilling 1 1 2 inch galvanized metal screws through the peak of the rib in 12 inch to 16 inch intervals.
