How To Cut Plasticscoring Sheet
Scoring preferably works on sheets less than 6 35mm in thickness.
How to cut plasticscoring sheet. Bend the overhang side of the sheet with quick and even motion. Clamp the sheet if needed. Once the sheet has been scored clamp the acrylic on a table edge so that the table edge aligns with the scored line of the sheet. Once you ve scored the initial line go over it a few times with the blade until a groove forms.
Then score the line using a plastic scoring blade using the ruler as a guide so your line is straight. If the cut was deep enough into the sheet there will be a clean edge. I created this video using my logitech webcam software. Once you confirm the clamp is secure apply pressure to the piece of sheet that is hanging off of the table until it breaks off.
Secure the sheet to a large work surface with a clamp. Place the sheet over hard edge with groove side up. Use scoring knife to cut a narrow groove in the acrylic sheeting. To cut acrylic sheets start by marking the line you want to cut using a ruler and a permanent marker.
